Who Are We?
We’re the new kids on the block. A fully independent team consisting of just three individuals; at PDA Records we dream of connecting our fans and artists in unique and meaningful ways. Based in Bristol, we aim to partner with and champion local artists, helping them to produce high quality special edition records and merchandise.
As you may know, PDA is shorthand for “Public Display of Affection” and we believe that an artist sharing their music with the world is precisely that.
What We Do Differently:
PDA’s alternative approaches to music are, in part, because of our sceptical views towards social media. The year is 2025, smartphones are more demanding on our brain’s attentional resources than ever before. Trying to compete in the chaotic world of algorithms and personalised feeds just seems futile to us.
Of course, we aren’t against all things digital; this website is a testament to that. Nevertheless, we trust in the tacit simplicity and beauty of physical media like vinyl, newsletters, and gigs. Our old-school practices separate us from other indie labels, and enable us to take better care of our artists at a time where ultra-low streaming royalties have become accepted as normal.
